MIRI: A wasp nest with a size of a rattan ball was removed safely from a tree near a house in Jalan Taman Pantai, Luak here yesterday.
A team of three personnel from Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) was sent to the scene after responding to an alert call on the discovery by a 37-year-old man, the house owner. This was when he was cleaning the front yard of his house around 11.42 am.
The team managed to destroy the nest in just 10 minutes using an insecticidal spray and flames.
