KUCHING: The cleaning of ‘Sedimentation Basin 1’ and maintenance of Trusan Plant 20MLD Lawas will commence at 9am today (August 15) and last until 5pm on Tuesday (August 18), informed the Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (JBALB).
They said that for this purpose, the release of water will be done at half-capacity, causing some areas to experience low water pressure.
“Among the areas expected to be affected are throughout the Lawas district, except for the Punang and Merapok areas,” they said in a statement on Friday.
JBALB Sarawak advised residents in the affected areas to store adequate water supply and save on water consumption during this period.
“The cooperation and patience of consumers are much appreciated. All the latest developments will be informed on JBALB Sarawak’s official Facebook page and JBALB Limbang Division’s Facebook page,” they said.
