BINTULU: Some areas are still facing ‘air lock’ problem and the ‘flushing’ works are being carried out, however, the water pressure to the Rh Robert area took some time to recover.

At the same time, the water transmission process was also carried out on the affected areas to ensure the villagers would get the water needed for daily usage.

The Sarawak Rural Water Supply Department (SRWSD) had made 5 trips to distribute the water supply based on the demand in the affected areas such as Suai Health Clinic and SK Batu Telingai, as 1 trip equivalent to 1200 gallons of water.

They expressed their concerns about the problem and have prepared two key action plans, namely immediate action and medium-term action to improve the water supply in the Suai area.
