Flood waters at Kampung Seduan has gradually receded following flash floods on Monday.

SIBU: Floodwaters in Kampung Seduan and Kampung Jeriah along Mile 7 1/2 have receded following the flash floods on Monday night (Feb 7).

Monitoring carried out by firemen from 9am to 11.30am on Tuesday (Feb 8) found the situation under control.

However, one house was reported to be still under six inches of water at Lorong Jeriah Utara 2B. But the flood was also receding.

The team also checked on three other houses prone to flash floods but none was inundated.

The residents in the area were however advised to be cautious in the event of a heavy continuous downpour.

They were also instructed to contact the fire station in the event the water rises to a dangerous level.
