BETONG: Several villages and longhouses in the Saratok District are facing a shortage of clean water supply due to the ongoing hot weather.

Recognising the situation, the Saratok District Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) has taken action to address the issue and ensure that residents have access to water for their daily needs.

“Saratok DDMC will continue to monitor the situation closely and offer further aid as necessary.

“The hot weather is expected to persist, and Saratok DDMC is committed to preventing residents from suffering due to a lack of water supply,” it said.

Water has already been dispatched to various locations, including Kampung Kaba, Rumah Nyair Mah, Brayang Baru, Rumah Nyandang, Sungai Gerenjang Ulu Roban, Rumah Kadam, Mudong Tengah Roban, Rumah Julius, Tapang Ujan Ili, Roban and Rumah Giman Mudong Ili Roban.

Rumah Igat, Sungai Sawa Kop Ibus, Rumah Tugau, Brayang Kemuntang Roban, Rumah Belayong, Sungai Empait Ulu Roban, Rumah Sati, Sungai Pitoh Kop Ibus Roban, Rumah Galing Lubok Nibong, Rumah John Nyion, and Rumah Raweng Lubok Nibong also received the supply of bottled water.
