KUCHING: Datuk Julaihi Narawi says water supply is an important goal in Sarawak’s Post Covid-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.
“We should be able to supply water to every household in the near future,” said the Minister for Utility and Communication.
“We are implementing the water supply grid, which will be done in the southern region of Sarawak, and hope that this can be implemented throughout Sarawak.
“Not only do we hope to supply treated water but also enable untreated water to be supplied to every area in Sarawak.”
He was speaking at the closing of the Sarawak Water Supply Retreat here on Friday (Aug 19).
“Our target is for Sarawakians to have access to clean water supply and that is our main agenda.
“These are initiatives taken seriously by the government,” he added.
