SIMUNJAN: A storehouse in Kampung Sedilo was razed to the ground in a wee-hour fire today (Jan 23).
Firefighters from the Simunjan station were dispatched to the scene, located about 3 km away, after being alerted of the fire at 3.14 am.
Upon arrival, they discovered that the store, measuring 224 square feet, was beyond saving.
The team promptly undertook extinguishing efforts using water from their fire truck.
There were no injuries or casualties reported, and the operation concluded at 4.04 am.
The cause of the fire and the extent of losses incurred are still under investigation.
