KOTA SAMARAHAN: The authorities here are looking for the biological mother of a two-year-old girl who is now under the care of the Welfare Department’s Child Protection Unit.
In a statement the department said Nur Amirah Batrisya Abdullah, born on Oct 27, 2021 was left by her biological mother in the care of her elderly and frail grandmother.
The department identified her biological mother as Siti Rohaya Abdullah (051107-13-1298).
“The child’s mother left the house without informing her family members of her whereabouts.
“This case is still under investigation in accordance with the requirements of the Child Act 2001,” it said.
The department has appealed to those who have information or know Siti Rohaya Abdullah to immediately contact 082-671191.
