SIBU: The sepak takraw women’s doubles regu category ends with the Western Zone B emerging victorious whereas the Nothern Zone A wins the women’s regu category on the final day of the Sarawak Games III (SUKSAR III) 2023.
The women’s sepak takraw event closed a while ago at the sepak takraw court in Kampung Bandung, here where the final events took place.
The Western Zone B showed great dominance over the Northern Zone A pair leading a big point margin winning 2-0 (21-12, 21-13) in the doubles regu category.
The team grabbed gold medals while the Northern Zone A won silver medals and bronze medals went to Southern Zone B.
In the regu category, the match between the Northern Zone A and Southern Zone A was close into the third game set
The Northern Zone A team was victorious with the result of a 2-1 victory (21-15, 18-21, 21-18) over their opponents and contributed gold medals for the team.
The Southern Zone A team settled with silver medals whereas bronze medals went to the Western Zone A team
The bronze medal in the category belonged to the West Zone A contingent (Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei).
