MOTHER’s Day is a holiday that honours the realm of motherhood. It is a day to honour the love, care, and sacrifices that mothers make for their children. This special day is celebrated annually by many people around the world. It falls on the second Sunday of May.
On Mother’s Day, individuals usually express their love and thanks to their mothers through presents, cards, flowers or simply spending quality time together. It’s an opportunity to show mothers how much they are loved and cherished.
New Sarawak Tribune got to the ground to get some comments from mothers about what they love the most in their lives.

As a mother, I desire quality family time, especially during seasonal days, without work interruptions. As children grow older, it becomes more challenging to balance their time with their growing needs. Cooperation between mother and husband is crucial for happiness and wealth to come simultaneously.

During my free time, I enjoy creating memories with my lovely children. Whether it’s having a bite to eat at their favourite restaurant or going shopping, these moments of shared laughter and connections enrich our lives.

As a mother, what I love most is seeing my two sons excel in their studies. I am more like the traditional mom where family comes first. I feel happiest if they get good grades in secondary school. I always hope for the best for my children. To me, family bonding is the key to raising a successful child and I hope this mother’s nature will be carried on by my sons’ family in the future.
