KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg yesterday received some courtesy calls in conjunction with the 13th World Islamic Economic Forum (WIEF) official opening at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) in Kuching.
Coming for the first courtesy call was Singapore High Commissioner to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Manon. Right after that Johari received courtesy call by President of Tarstatan Republic Rustam N. Minnikhanov.
The third courtesy call was by new Ambassador of Norway Gun Jorid Roset. Subsequent ly Johar i al s o received courtesy call by Palestinian Religious Affairs and Islamic Relations Presidential Advisor Dr Mahmoud Al Habbash.
All the courtesy calls were made in relations to them attending the forum that was declared open by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak yesterday. Also present a the forum opening were Sarawak State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohd Morshidi Abdul Ghani and Director of State Plannning Unit Datu Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki.
