MIRI: A 23-year-old woman escaped potential serious injuries at her husband’s workplace in Pujut Padang Kerbau 1 here on Tuesday.
The knife-wielding husband had accused her of infidelity and had threatened to harm her.
Miri deputy police chief Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol, who confirmed the case, said the husband also flew into a rage after his wife prevented him from drinking alcohol.
“He took a knife with the intention of harming his wife but she fled the scene,” he said on Wednesday.
Mohd Sabri said despite escaping serious harm, the wife did sustain minor injuries to her head and body.
“She has lodged a police report and investigation is currently underway.”
