Held from Nov 8 to 16, he stated the competition attracted over 140 entries from primary and secondary school students within the Kuching South area.

“Participants showcased their creativity by incorporating three essential elements into their logo designs:

1. The official flower of Kuching South – the Canna Lily.
2. MBKS corporate colours – Blue, Yellow, White, and Red.
3. A cat symbolising Kuching City.

“Participants also crafted English slogans that reflected the mission and values of KSCC, which focuses on empowering young voices, fostering inclusivity, and promoting sustainability and cultural diversity.”

In the meantime, to ensure authenticity, Wee asserted that MBKS enforced strict guidelines prohibiting plagiarism, copying, and AI-generated artwork, while encouraging the use of traditional and digital mediums.

Since its establishment in August 2024, KSCC members, known as Child Councillors, have actively engaged in various initiatives.

Recently, they conducted interviews during the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting on Nov 19, demonstrating their involvement in governance.
