MIRI: Wishesland Miri is raising funds to purchase a van to ferry children unable to go to the centre for treatment on a regular basis due to transportation problems.
Its president Eunice Ho urged the public to therefore continue supporting Wishesland Miri in terms of funds or kind.
At the same time, she thanked all the government bodies, parties, groups, associations, private companies and the public for their support since Wishesland Miri was founded in 2020.
It requires huge funds to run its daily operations every month, she said at a Mid-Autumn Festival held in the centre last Saturday (Sept 30).
“This is the second Mid-Autumn Festival celebration held by Wishesland Miri since it started operation at the end of 2021,” she said.
Ho said festival celebrations can provide children with cerebral palsy social, emotional, psychological and spiritual support.
On top of that, it also helps to improve their quality of life, social skills, self confidence and enables them to feel they are part of society, she added.
Also present at the celebration were MP Miri Chiew Choon Man’s representative, Chaw Zhi Jian and Wishesiand Miri founder Katharine Chai.
