KUCHING: The Kuching and Samarahan Division Celebral Palsy Association (Wishesland) is targeting to raise at least RM80,000 to enable it to acquire facilities for its two new centres.
It has teamed up with Sarawak Mirage Club to hold an international charity concert at Pullman Hotel on September 20.
Its president Chi Poh Yung said this during a courtesy call on Welfare, Community Well-being, Women, Family and Childhood Development Minister Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah at her office in Baitul Makmur building, Petra Jaya here yesterday.
The aim of the courtesy call was to invite Fatimah to the concert.
Chi revealed the new centres would start operating next month. He hoped that the fund would ensure smooth running of treatment programmes at the new one-stop centres.
While inviting members of the public to join the concert and donate by buying the tickets, Chi also thanked Fatimah for her time in helping to raise awareness on cerebral palsy disorder.
“The concert tickets are for sale at our centre at Jalan Crookshank and from Sarawak Mirage Club. Besides, the purchase of the tickets is exempted from tax,” he said.
