MIRI: A total of RM14,000 worth of drugs (methamphetamine) weighing 198.83g was seized following two raids conducted by Miri Narcotics Investigation Department (NCID) on Friday.

Four locals, including a woman, aged between 18 and 20, were detained by the police during the raids.

Miri deputy police chief Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol when contacted told that the first three suspects (including the female) were detained inside a double-storey house in Jalan Calycina, Pin Fook Garden at 11am.

The fourth suspect, known as ‘Don’, was nabbed at a condominium at 3pm on that same day.

“The drugs were found in four transparent plastic packets during the raid on the house in Pin Fook Garden,” said Mohd Sabri.

The suspects have been renting the house for RM1,200 per month.

“They have been staying there for about a year prior to their arrests,” said Sabri, adding that a Honda vehicle was also seized.

Three out of the four suspects tested negative for drugs.
