LIMBANG: A woman was among four individuals arrested for alleged drug possession following a drug bust at a government quarters near Taman Pertama on Friday.

Limbang district police chief Supt Abang Zainal Abidin Abang Ahmad said the 20-year-old suspect from Kampung Meriting Sundar, Lawas and her three male friends aged 21, 28 and 29 years old were rounded up in the operation at 5.15pm.

Further inspection of the premises led to the discovery of a translucent plastic package containing a crystalline substance believe to be syabu weighing 0.50g and estimated to be worth RM50 on the dining table.

Police also seized 0.10g of syabu worth RM20 from the 29-year-old; the drug was found in his pouch bag.

Abang Zainal said that the female suspect and the 21-year-old male suspect were habitual drug offenders and had been arrested before.

All suspects tested positive for methamphetamine and amphetamine.

The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and 12(2) of the same Act.
