KUCHING: A car was reversing out of a parking lot at Saradise yesterday morning when the driver collided into a parked vehicle behind and then rammed into a coffee shop.
A shop owner nearby said the driver, a woman in her 70s, was with her husband having breakfast in a coffee shop. She said at 10.20am, as they were reversing out, the back of the driver’s car knocked the front of a parked car.
This caused the driver to panic, stepped on the accelerator and drove straight into the coffee shop in front. Two men who were sitting outside managed to jump out of the way.
The driver sustained injuries to her legs while her husband was shaken by the incident but unhurt.
