SIBU: A female motorist escaped death when her car collided with a diesel truck at Jalan Lada Lanang, Sibu today (Nov 19).
The State Fire and Services Department said firefighters from the Sibu fire station were sent to the scene after a distress call was received at 2.35pm.
On arrival, the firefighters found the woman had been safely removed from the car by members of the public.
She sustained an injury to her chest while the truck driver was unharmed. The woman was transported to Sibu Hospital for further treatment.
