KUCHING: A woman miraculously escaped serious injury after her pickup collided with a five-tonne lorry at Mile 3, Jalan Kubong in Limbang.
The front passenger side of her vehicle was badly wrecked and the windshield shattered.
The driver of the lorry, which bears a Brunei registration number, was unscathed.
According to the state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), they received a distress call regarding the accident at 1.30pm.
Nine firefighters led by senior officer Zakaria Mat Nor were despatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the woman, identified as Gimma Sumbang, has already been retrieved from her vehicle by members of the public.
She was later brought to the hospital for treatment by the emergency medical rescue services (EMRS) ambulance.
Bomba later handed the case to the police for further action.
