KUCHING: A woman was found hanged from the ceiling of her house near residential area on Monday.
Kuching deputy police chief Supt Merbin Lisa said the 38-year-old woman was found in the living room around 1.10pm by her friend who visited the house.
It is said that the friend decided to visit the house after she contacted the woman several times and did not get any response.
“Inspections by the team found that there were no signs of foul play at the scene.
“It was found that the last person whom she had contacted was her sister at 8pm, a day before the tragedy,” he said.
The body was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) and is currently waiting for Covid-19 test results.
Investigations are still ongoing and the case is classified as sudden death.
