KUCHING: An unemployed woman who pleaded guilty to the charge of injecting drugs into her body was sentenced to 10 months’ jail and ordered to undergo a two-year monitoring for drug use offences last Monday (Oct 19).
Magistrate Mohd Syukri Mokthar ordered the 26-year-old woman from Jalan Parit Lama here to serve the sentence after pleading guilty to an offence under Section 15 (1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
The woman was found positive for methamphetamine at 2.15am at the Kuching Narcotics Crime Investigation Division (NCID) office on Nov 8, 2016.
