KUCHING: A woman jumped off a condominium in an apparent suicide here.
The victim, aged 56, is believed to be a teacher from a school here.

“Upon arrival, we found the victim’s body on the ground… (the victim) was pronounced dead by Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) medical personnel at the scene.
“Investigations revealed that prior to the jump, the victim had injured herself on the neck and wrists, before jumping from the seventh floor of the condominium,” he said in a statement yesterday.
ACP Awang Din also said police found the object believed to have been used by the victim to injure herself in the bathroom.
“The body has been sent to the SGH morgue for further action. The case is classified as sudden death and is currently under investigation,” he added, ruling out foul play.
According to the victim’s sister, the victim liked to travel during the holidays, and due to the movement control order, she was depressed as she could not go anywhere.
