MIRI: A shopkeeper lost more than RM4,500 after her handbag was taken in a car break-in at Jalan North Yu Seng here on Sunday night.
It is learned that the 30-year-old woman had placed her handbag on the driver’s seat of her car before she went to an entertainment centre nearby around 11pm.
However, four hours later, when the woman returned to her car she was surprised to find that the front glass window of the car was broken.
Upon checking the woman found her handbag containing cash, personal documents and ATM cards was missing.
The woman later lodged a report at the Miri Central Police Station.
