MIRI: Police arrested a woman who was suspected to have stolen her boyfriend’s money and belongings, yesterday (May 20).
The district’s CID team, upon receiving information, raided the Miri Airport waiting area and nabbed the suspect at the sidewalk.
It was made to understand that the 32-year-old suspect had stolen some items and money from her 56-year-old boyfriend.
In the raid, the team did not make any seizures and brought the local woman to the police station.
Background checks found that the suspect did not have any past criminal records.
Miri deputy police chief Supt Mohd Sabri Zainol confirmed that the arrest was made around 3.30pm.
The case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code for theft.
