SIBU: A woman died after her motorcycle collided with a car in Bintangor on Sunday (July 12) night.
Meradong OCPD, Deputy Supt Sekam Anoi said the victim has been identified as Nur Syahadah Abdullah, 27, from Jalan Drahman Keria, Sarikei.
He said in the 8.45pm accident, it was believed that the driver of the car was trying to overtake another vehicle in Jalan Selidap.
However in the process, he entered the adjacent lane and collided with the victim’s motorcycle.
“The victim was then heading from Bintangor to Sarikei while the driver was going in the opposite direction,” he added.
“The body of the victim has been sent to Sarikei Hospital for further action.
The case is still under investigation under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
