SAMARAHAN: A woman suffered severe injuries on her leg when the motorcycle she rode crashed into a lorry, here on Wednesday (Sept 30).
According to Kota Samarahan district police chief, DSP Sudirman Kram the 12pm incident happened at Lorong 22, Desa Ilmu.
“The driver of the lorry, 34, was driving heading towards Desa Ilmu rows of shops from Asajaya. Upon making a right turn into Lorong 22, the lorry was hit by the motorcycle that was heading straight from Taman Desa Ilmu.
“Due to the crash, the 19-year-old victim sustained severe injuries on her right leg and was immediately taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (Sept 30).
The case is currently being investigated under Section 43(1) of Road Transport Act 1987.
