SARIKEI: A 27-year-old woman suffered injuries to her leg after her vehicle overturned following a crash along KM428, Betong-Sarikei-Meradong road yesterday.
State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said that the accident occurred at 7.35am.
A team of firefighters from Sarikei fire station was despatched to the scene after receiving a call on the incident.
Upon arrival, the victim was found trapped in the driver’s seat.
The woman was extricated from the overturned car and later taken to Sarikei Hospital by paramedics.
It was reported that the victim was heading to work when she lost control of her vehicle, causing it to crash into the left side of the road and overturn.
