KUCHING: Firefighters yesterday extricated a woman from the wreckage of a van that overturned in Kota Sentosa.
State Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson said the department received a distress call regarding the incident at 11.55pm.
“There were five people in the van, including the driver. They were returning home from work when the driver lost control of the vehicle,” the spokesperson said.
Four of the victims managed to exit the van unharmed while another was pinned to her seat.
Firefighters used special tools to release the trapped victim who was later taken by EMRS to Sarawak General Hospital for treatment.
