MIRI: A 35-year-old woman was trapped in her vehicle following a head-on collision nearby Sungai Dalam, along the Miri-Bintulu road, here on Wednesday (June 24).
Eight firemen of Lopeng Fire and Rescue Station, led by PBK II Rorudi Umas, were deployed to the scene after being alerted on the incident at 4.20am.
The woman and three other victims, including a two-year-old toddler, were extricated from the vehicles involved in the collision, and were taken to Miri Hospital for treatment.
The actual cause of the accident is not immediately known as investigation is underway.
In Limbang, a man sustained injuries after he was pinned to his seat in an accident at Jalan Airport Baru.
The state Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) operations centre received a report at 9.11am on Wednesday (June 24).
A total of 10 personnel from the Limbang Fire and Rescue station were despatched to the scene.
The accident involved two vehicles, a Perodua Kancil and a Hilux.
The Kancil driver, a 45-year-old man, had to be extricated by firefighters and sent to the Limbang Hospital for treatment.
