KUCHING: A 50-year-old woman with no known comorbidities were among three Covid-19 deaths recorded in Sarawak between Nov 22 and Nov 27.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) said the victim from Kuching was a brought-in-dead (BID) case at the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) on Nov 27.

“The other BID case was that of a 50-year-old man from Lawas who required assistance in his daily life.

“Another case was that of a 76-year-old woman from Miri who had a history of hypertension,” it said yesterday (Tuesday).

The SDMC said the state recorded 98 new Covid-19 cases yesterday (Tuesday), bringing the cumulative total to 250,720 cases.

It added 94 of the new cases were of categories 1 and 2 while four cases were of categories 3, 4 and 5.

“Of the total, 41 cases were of category 1, 53 of category 2 and four of category 4,” it explained.

The SDMC said Kuching registered the highest number of daily cases with 25, followed by Sibu with 19 and Miri with 13 cases.

“Meanwhile, Bintulu registered 11 cases; Limbang seven; Serian five; Lawas and Selangau three cases each; Samarahan and Bau two cases each; Betong, Asajaya, Lundu, Daro, Pusa, Marudi, Subis and Saratok one case each.”

The committee said the four remaining active clusters in the state reported no new cases yesterday.
