MUKAH: Fiesta Sahabat AIM 2019 Mukah at Dataran Pehin Setia Raja here yesterday showcased some local women entrepreneurs who are also as enterprising as their male counterparts.

During the one-day event, they took the opportunity to earn some income from the sales of their products.

Various products ranging from food and drinks to household items were on sale at affordable prices.

These women entrepreneurs, also known as ‘sahabat AIM’ (friends of AIM), by virtue of the fact that they obtained finance from Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) scheme.

AIM has helped them in realising their dreams to become joint-bread-earners or sole-breadearners in their families.

The one-day fiesta themed ‘We rock Mukah’ featured an exhibition and sale by AIM and other agencies as well as talk by agencies.

A lucky draw and telematch were also held which added merriment to the event which was attended by about 500 people.

The fiesta began with poco-poco as a prelude before actual activities took place.
