“Personal hygiene for all members of the family must be maintained at all times to reduce the risk of contracting or spreading the disease.  For mothers, teach your children how and when to wash their hands properly. This is very important,” she said to reporters after officiating at an event in a local hotel, yesterday.

She added that cleanliness at home must be kept up, and meals must be balanced for good health.

Fatimah also told mothers to ensure their children play in clean areas where they are not at risk of contracting the Covid-19.

“Don’t let them play in crowded places and avoid mass gatherings,” she said.

Throughout the extended school holiday, mothers should play the role of teachers so that their children would not get bored.

“This is a very challenging time, but I am sure that the women of Sarawak as a whole would persevere,” she said.
