SARATOK: The women’s bureau is equally important in the management of a longhouse or village, says Krian assemblyman Friday Belik.
On that note, he assured that he would strive to help members gain knowledge through courses of interest from relevant education institutions.
He was speaking at the opening ceremony of Rh Munggu Embawang’s Women’s Bureau here last Sunday (July 10).
Friday also advised the residents of the longhouse to be united, particularly in developing Krian.
He informed the residents about the developments in Krian such as the establishment of the Betong Integrated Development Agency, which has an allocation of RM1.5bil to develop Betong.
Friday later allocated RM200,000 from his Rural Transformation Project (RTP) funds to Rh Munggu Embawang and RM5,000 to its Women’s Bureau. In addition, corporate figure Gindam Tait also contributed RM2,000 to the bureau.
