SERIAN: Sarawak women’s gymnastics team shone brightly in the Vault Apparatus Finals of the 21st Malaysia Games (SUKMA XXI), capturing the judges’ attention and securing two podium finishes.
Audi Zulkarnien led the charge with an impressive score of 11.933, clinching the gold medal and delivering a proud moment for Sarawak.
Joining her on the podium was her teammate, Cassandra Lavigne Shelden, who secured the bronze medal with a score of 11.600.
The silver medal was awarded to Federal Territories’ Marissa Zaiful Azian, who delivered a strong performance, achieving a total score of 11.717.
Meanwhile, in the women’s uneven bars event, Perak claimed the gold medal, followed by Federal Territories taking silver, and Selangor rounding out the podium with the bronze.
In the men’s artistic gymnastics apparatus finals, Kelantan took home the gold in the floor exercise, with Johor winning silver and Pulau Pinang earning bronze.
The pommel horse event saw Pulau Pinang win gold, Johor take silver, and Kelantan claim bronze.
Finally, in the rings apparatus finals, Johor secured the gold medal, while Pulau Pinang took both the silver and bronze.
