WORK on the new Daro Health Clinic Type 4 will resume soon, said Deputy Minister of Public Health and Housing Michael Tiang Ming Tee.

He revealed that Phase 2 of Daro Health Clinic (Type 4) was still at the pre-implementation stage after the completion of earthwork under Phase 1 in 2020.

He added that the design of the clinic was currently under review by the Public Works Department (PWD) Malaysia and had not been approved yet by the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia headquarters (HQ) in Putrajaya.

Tiang said that the tender process would be expedited once the necessary approval was received from the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia HQ.

He was responding to Safiee Ahmad (GPS-Daro) on the construction work of the new health clinic.

Tiang said the current health clinic offered a range of services to an average of 130 patients daily.

“The services offered include outpatient treatment, maternal and child health as well as dental care, emergency care including support services such as laboratory, imaging and pharmacy.
