KUCHING: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) leaders in Sarawak have been told to carry out their jobs with honesty, integrity and vision to ensure that the party moves forward with the present time.
Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Mohd Yusof gave the advice yesterday when attending the state level Bersatu Gawai Raya gathering at Harbour View Hotel here.
Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii, who represented PH Sarawak chairman Chong Chieng Jen at the event, said, “In our fight to restore the rights in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) and to get the same and fair allocation from the federal government, we should have a state government that is clean and free from corruption.
“As we fight for our rights, more allocations, more royalty dividends, it is also crucial to fight for a clean government to ensure that all our rights and allocations will be used for the goodness and interest for the people.”
Among those present were Padungan assemblyman Wong King Wei, Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Sarawak president Mohamad Fidzuan Zaidi, Bersatu Sarawak chapter’s director of operation Zakaria Bujang, People’s Justice Party (PKR) Petra Jaya branch chief Baharuddin Datuk Mokhsen.
