KUCHING: A construction worker lost his balance and fell from the fifth floor of a building that he was working on in Kota Samarahan yesterday morning.
This happened at 9am when the man who was said to be about 30 years old was climbing a self-made wooden ladder which he used to work on the ceiling.
It was believed that the ladder suddenly tilted while he was on it and he fell to the ground head first.

Amazingly, he remained conscious and screamed in pain. When colleagues reached him he said that he had a bad headache.
Their foreman was informed and they rushed him to a nearby hospital from where he was transferred to Sarawak General Hospital.

His condition was reportedly serious.
