KUCHING: A wooden worker’s quarters at Bintawa Village here was engulfed in flames this afternoon (Nov 24).
The fiery incident happened around 1.25pm and no injuries or casualties were reported.
Firemen from Tabuan Jaya and Padungan stations were despatched to the scene to put out the flames.
By the time they arrived, the wooden quarter was already destroyed and the fire was fully doused off at 2.50pm.
The causes of the fire as well as the assessment of losses and rescues are still under investigation.
