SIBU: A store on the ground floor of a two-storey workshop at Salim by-pass here was razed in a fire, yesterday. After Sibu Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received an emergency call at 11.44am, 17 firemen were dispatched to the scene.
Eight firemen from Sungai Merah Fire and Rescue Station also joined in the operation. The firemen managed to extinguish the fire at 12.30pm and a 41-year-old man who sustained injury on his hand was given treatment by the firemen before he was taken to Sibu.
