KUALA LUMPUR: The partnership with Malaysia’s well-known nutritious chocolate malt beverage, MILO, has fuelled national diver, Bertrand Rhodict Lises to make a splash at the next World Aquatic Championships.

Not only that, the Olympian, who was honoured to be part of MILO, also hoped to bring home gold from the 2025 SEA Games in Thailand.

“Their support is crucial for my diving career and studies. I’m excited to grow as an athlete and person, pushing my limits in competitions and exploring future pathways.

“MILO has always helped me maintain my energy and focus during long school days and training. I hope my journey inspires young athletes to pursue dreams in sports and education, emphasising discipline, resilience, and consistency,’ he said in a statement by MILO.

In the meantime, Head of Sports Marketing of MILO, Nestle (Malaysia) Berhad, Lim Kerwin said he is excited to support Bertrand as the Diploma in Business Administration student continues to make impact both in the pool and in the classroom, setting a powerful example for aspiring young athletes across Malaysia.

Lim said the Kuching-born diver’s extraordinary journey, balancing academic pursuits with sporting excellence, embodies the very essence of what MILO strives to cultivate in young athletes.

Bertrand’s best achievements include among others winning bronze in the 10 metres (m) platform synchronised at the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games and reaching the 10m platform individual finals in the 2023 World Aquatic Championships in Japan, earning a merit-based spot in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. – BERNAMA
