KUCHING: The Sarawak State Library (Pustaka) is inviting all Muslims to participate in the state-level World Quran Hour 2024 on April 4 (Thursday).
Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication, Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi will officiate the programme. It is organised by Pustaka in collaboration with the Islamic Information Centre (IIC) and Sarawak Islamic Council (MIS), and will be held at the IIC Auditorium.
“Various programmes will be conducted, including recitation of Surah Al-Jumu’ah by Ustaz Mohd Salahuddin Marzuki, Quran recitation by a Blind Qari, Nasheed and Qasidah performances, to be streamed live on Facebook and YouTube platforms by Pustaka from 9 am to 12 pm.
“Surah Al-Jumu’ah has been selected with the theme of “Unity and Social Transformation” this time, urging scholars, leaders, and the community towards unity and social transformation,” Pustaka said in a press release.
Pustaka added that participants can upload their pictures on social media with hashtags #worldquranhour #worldquranhour24 #wqh and tag Pustaka on Instagram and Facebook.
