SIBU: A total of 1,627 people participated in the fund-raising WTK Fun Run 2024 held at Taman SMI in Sg. Bidut near here yesterday.
Participants comprised of 776 individuals from SMI Park and 851 from various companies and their subsidiaries.
The event was officiated by the chairman of the Board of Directors of WTK Holdings Berhad, Dato Sri Wong Kie Yik and his wife, Datin Sri Judy Lau Kung Ee.
The fundraising run successfully raised a total of RM81,350 to purchase medical equipments needed by the Sibu Hospital.
The equipments bought were five units of Vital Sign Monitor, two units of Defibrillator, and one unit of Body Composition Monitor, all items worth a total of RM133,000.
WTK Group has generously topped-up to cover the deficit amount.
