THE proposal to build an imaging unit (x-ray) at Beladin Health Clinic has been shortlisted for implementation under the 12th Malaysia Plan (12MP).
In stating this Deputy Minister for Public Health, Housing and Local Government Michael Tiang said both the Pusa and Beladin Health Clinics provide basic services such as Outpatient Services, Maternal and Child Health Services and Support Services such as laboratory services and pharmacies.
“Currently, five medical officers are stationed at Pusa Health Clinic while six medical officers are stationed in Beladin Health Clinic.
“There are no plans to expand haemodialysis services at the Beladin and Pusa clinics as dialysis patients from Pusa can access haemodialysis services at Betong Hospital.
“Meanwhile, patients from Beladin can receive haemodialysis services at Debak Health Clinic,” Tiang said in response to Razaili Gapor (GPS-Beting Maro) during question time at the DUN sitting on Monday.
As to how many dialysis machines are available at Debak Health Clinic and Betong Hospital, Tiang said there are six dialysis machines in Debak which are operated in two shifts per day with a total of 24 patients receiving dialysis treatment while Betong Hospital has 11 dialysis machines, operating in three shifts per day with a total of 59 patients receiving treatment.
To another supplementary question, Tiang said both clinics received regular specialist services through monthly visits from the Family Health Specialist at the Mid-Layar Health Clinic.
