MIRI: The Yakin Madani Futsal League 2024 launched with an exciting opening ceremony at the Miri Indoor Stadium, here last night (Oct 26).
The tournament, offering a prize pool of RM10,000, has drawn eight teams from across the region to compete in the thrilling competition.
The event was officially opened by Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Adam Adli, who expressed his enthusiasm for the tournament’s role in promoting youth engagement in sports.
Among other notable attendees were Miri MP Chiew Choon Man and Pengiran Zamri Pengiran Bujang, the Managing Director of Yakin Football League Company, the tournament’s organising body.
The participating teams—Futbolismo, SS5, Dasan Rover, Vendetta, Wirajaya SSC, MZJ, Bard’s, 78 Ft, and IPD Miri—are set to vie for top honours and a share of the cash prize.
The Yakin Madani Futsal League aims to elevate futsal’s profile in Malaysia, fostering community participation and athletic talent development within the sport.
The tournament will run over the coming weeks, with participating teams competing to claim the Yakin Madani Futsal League 2024 championship title.
