KUCHING: The Youth Empowerment Society Stapok (YESS) has joined hands with Kolej Komuniti Betong to host the ‘Scale-Up Perniagaan Melalui Pengurusan Kewangan & Pemasaran Digital (SUPEWANG)’ programme.

This three-month initiative, supported and funded by the All-Party Parliamentary Group Malaysia-Sustainable Development Goals (APPGM-SDG), is aimed at providing free financial literacy and digital marketing training to aspiring entrepreneurs, with a special focus on micro-business owners in Betong.

A total of 13 entrepreneurs from Betong District have been selected to partake in this programme, set to conclude in October.

“The programme aims to improve the business performance of entrepreneurs, reduce the risk of financial difficulties, and contribute to the growth and development of the local economy,” YESS said in a statement.

The SUPEWANG programme is in alignment with the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, seeking to bolster financial literacy among business proprietors, equip them with the skills to make informed financial decisions, offer practical resources for effective financial management, and enhance their digital marketing proficiency.
