KUCHING: Dhirah Saini, 21, and Ameer Dawi, 27, two of the newest personalities in ERA Sarawak are promising to add chirpy flavour to the radio station.
Dhirah, who is the youngest DJ thus far said for the Pagi Era Sarawak segment, the content will remain the same only that she will be adding more of her opinions in terms of the Gen Z’s points of view.
“Hopefully through my points of view, I will attract more of the younger listeners to our morning segment,” she said during a press conference after ERA’s meet and greet session at Thai Jai restaurant here on Thursday (Aug 4).
Dhirah said it had been her dream to become a DJ personality and it also helped that her major was in mass communication.
Ameer on the other hand, said his education background is far from what he is doing at the moment but that has not stopped him from charting a new course.
On how to become a DJ personality, Ameer said aspirants need to practice more and create more videos.
“I feel the younger generation have more exposure and thus will have and easier route than me. I’m 27 and I’ve been in the industry since I was 13 years old. That being said, I wish them all the best in becoming radio DJs,” said Ameer
