SRI AMAN: A motorcyclist perished while his pillion was seriously hurt after the motorcycle they were on rear-ended a four-wheel-drive vehicle at

The duo was this year’s Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidates, and in the 11am incident, the deceased identified as Patrick Erik Nipak suffered severe injuries to his head and died at the scene.

State Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department chief Supt Alexson Naga Chabu said the accident occurred when the motorcycle rear-ended the vehicle driven by a 40-year-old man.

The motorcyclist and his pillion were travelling in the same direction as the 4WD – from Sri Aman to Lingga.
