KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Youth Council (MBM) will offer voluntary services to the Food Bank Malaysia programme which will be conducted by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs (KPDNHEP) next year.
Its deputy president Muhammad Fadzli Hasan said the volunteers could provide extra hands to the project while young entrepreneurs would be encouraged to contribute food and essential items.
“MBM welcomes the initiative by KPDNHEP Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution who mooted the idea for the movement which would unite Malaysians of all races and religions as well as close the gap between the rich and poor through the spirit of giving and sharing,” he said in a statement yesterday. – Bernama
