LIMBANG: The influence of negative culture is penetrating the local populace.

Worried Limbang MP Hasbi Habibollah said more and more local youths are involved in unhealthy activities.

“They are into drugs like syabu and liquor. This is most worrying,” he said during a Hari Raya Aidilfitri gathering at the Al-Qurnia Mosque in Kampung Pandam.

“The youths will be destroyed if this negative culture is allowed to spread unabated,” he said, adding ultimately, a whole community will be affected.

Hasbi called on parents to pay more attention to their children and keep track of what they do and who they move with.

He said village development and security committees must sit down to address this problem involving youths.

“If need be, seek help from the relevant authorities, including the police.

“Religion is also important, parents must guide them on the right path,” he said.
